Financial contributions for infrastructure
The tables below shows the amount of developer contributions received though section 106 agreements. We are seeking to adopt a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) charging schedule in spring 2016 so future monitoring will also include contributions received though CIL.

Community Infrastructure Levy (updated December 2018)
CIL is a locally set planning charge, introduced by the Planning Act 2008 (as amended) as a tool for local authorities in England and Wales to help deliver infrastructure to support development in their areas. The CIL charge is expressed as £ per square metre, and is levied on the gross internal floorspace of the net liable development.
The councils will be implementing their Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) with effect from 3 January 2017.
To ensure that the levy is open and transparent, charging authorities are required to publish a short report on the levy on their websites by 31 December each year, for the previous financial year (Regulation 62 of the Community Infrastructure Levy Regulations 2010 [as amended]). In accordance with Regulation 62, which sets out what charging authorities must include in their reports; the councils’ report is as set out in the table below (NB. There has currently been no expenditure but future reports will also need to include summary details of CIL expenditure):
