We support a well-established volunteering programme for young people aged 14 to 25 in all libraries.

You can choose how long and how many hours you want to volunteer. You will need to do 10 hours or more throughout your role to be accredited for the Dorset Award.

We offer support if you are already working towards an award.

Why you should volunteer for the Summer Reading Challenge.

"I very much enjoyed meeting different families, speaking to young children about their reading and getting to know other young volunteers who had similar interests to me, allowing me to improve my communication skills and confidence and make new friends."
