All Dorset Libraries offer free access to the internet, Microsoft Office applications and scanners using the Public Network computers. Printing is also available.

You can book at computer by phoning or visiting the library.

Please remember:

  • you'll need your library card to log onto a computer when you arrive for your session
  • if you're under 16, you need permission from a parent or guardian to use the computers; ask library staff for a parental permission form
  • customers are required to agree to and follow the computer use policy each time they use a public computer
  • computers are switched off 15 minutes before the library closes

If you do not have a library card it is still possible to access the computers if you can show proof of address, for example, a driver's license, utility bill, or prescription.

Wi-Fi

Free Wi-Fi is available at all Dorset Libraries so you can access the internet on your own mobile device.

You don't have to be a library member, but you will need to accept the terms and conditions of use to access it.

Please note that Wi-Fi printing is currently not available.
