The Dorset Historic Environment Record (HER) is at the Dorset History Centre in Dorchester. The Dorset History Centre is open to the public on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Personal visits to the Historic Environment Record can be made during these hours by appointment. 

Most enquiries are dealt with by email and it is not usually necessary to visit the HER.
